MIIS VERSUZ

Shades at MIIS is bringing back VERSUZ: an event where two students compete and create a playlist of music that fits a theme (i.e. R&B, Pop Hits of the 80s, etc.). Viewers of the event vote their favorite playlist, and the winner will be invited back to battle the winners of other VERSUZ events. This event is open to all MIIS students, so come join in on the fun!

Mindful Stress Management for Graduate Students

As you may have heard, grad school can be stressful! While our habit might be to avoid or distract ourselves from stress, what can actually help is to look closer: to acknowledge what’s going on with curiosity, acceptance, and self-compassion. Mindfulness helps us to handle stress more effectively by becoming more self-aware, and learning strategies that help us build resilience and come back to equilibrium in the moment.
