The first episode will feature MIRA President (Chris Baca), and Communications Coordinator (Lameese Madi)— where Lameese will show Chris how to make a delicious and HEALTHY North African Shakshuka! The ingredients for the recipe have already been posted on MIRA’s Instagram page– attendees who follow along with the recipe and share it on Instagram using #MiraWhosCooking will compete to win $25!

ANC Black History Month Recognition

The African Nations Club welcomes all of MIIS to its first meeting of the Spring 2021 semester, the ANC Black History Month Recognition. Visitors and members will be introduced to the club leadership and our upcoming events for this semester. This will be followed by introductions and conversational activities.
Next, there will be a video showcase of the most important aspects of Black History Month and followed by an open discussion and reflection on the future of the African-American community and the larger African diaspora.

Dr. Risa Brooks will be speaking to NPS on the topic of “Rethinking Civil-Military Relations: The Perils of Apolitical Professionalism and why military officers need to (constructively) engage with politics.” This event will take place on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 pm PST.
