The symposium will kickoff with a keynote presentation by Argentine anthropologist Rita Segato, followed by an open discussion with students, faculty, and community members. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided in Sunderland Lobby beginning at 4:00 PM.

An opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to share ideas and insights with members of the Strategic Planning Working Groups.

Each Working Group will host 1–3 tables for facilitated conversation on their topic. We will run four 30-minute discussion sessions, with participants rotating between them.

Middlebury will install Ian B. Baucom as Middlebury’s 18th president. The ceremony will begin at 10:15 a.m. at Virtue Field House on the Middlebury College campus.

President Baucom and his family will be across the street at 3 South Street, handing out donuts, cider, and hot cocoa for trick-or-treaters and guests. Come in costume or just come as you are.
