Come to this information session to learn about the Freeman-Asia Scholarship for U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in East or Southeast Asia. Monica Galbraith, a Middlebury student who studied abroad in Korea and was a recipient of this scholarship, will present the session.

The deadline for preliminary applications is April 15, 2019 so join Dean Lisa Gates for a discussion of why these two opportunities are so coveted and how to get started applying. A fellowships information session led by Dean Lisa Gates about the graduate study opportunities (conducted in English) offered by the Schwarzman and Yenching fellowships in China; the David-Weill Fellowship at Sciences Po, and the Knight-Hennessy fellowship at Stanford.

Learn about Fall 2109 fellowship opportunities and application processes with for seniors and recent graduates. These include British fellowships (Gates-Cambridge, Rhodes, Marshall, Mitchell), Fulbright, NSF Graduate Research Fellowship, and the Watson fellowship among others. British, Watson and Fulbright processes all have April deadlines so if you plan to be abroad in the spring, this is a great session to attend!

Most of these are only open to sophomores and juniors—but a few (like CLS!) are also open to first-years and seniors.
