Envisioning Teaching & Learning: Inquiry-Based Learning: An Interactive Workshop

In inquiry-based learning (IBL), most class time is devoted to student-centered activities. In this workshop, participants will work through a sequence of questions on a mathematical topic accessible to all. We will also discuss recent research on the efficacy of IBL and other active learning environments, and explore ways that faculty can incorporate inquiry-based principles into their own classrooms. (RSVP for lunch at go/pedagogy)

Academic Roundtable - Digital Literacies

Join us for an informal discussion about digital literacies with Henry Jenkins, University of Southern California. He will lead us in a conversation about how high school graduates are arriving for college with transformed literacies fostered in both formal and informal educational experiences, and consider how a liberal education might best address our current and future students.
Lunch will be provided.
