This week Amnesty International will host a a Write for Rights event for local activists to call on governments worldwide to protect and release victims of human rights abuses. This event is just one of thousands that will be carried out throughout the USA and more than 50 countries worldwide. Our group has chosen 6 of the 12 cases to support and will be hosting a letter writing campaign Thursday and Friday in the dining halls during lunch and dinner. We will also be tabling outside of the RIDDIM dance performance and the Film Society Friday film event.

Amnesty International Petition Signing! Take a minute out of your day, stop by Ross or Proctor during lunch on Thursday and sign a petition to help defend and fight for other people’s human rights!

Take 30 seconds on your way to lunch or dinner to sign a letter calling on President Obama and leaders of the European Union to be more accepting of Syrian refugees fleeing their war-torn homeland.

You’ve heard of the 626 Night Market, but get ready for our own 802 Night Market! Come out and enjoy the evening with some food and music from MCAB and some of Middlebury’s amazing cultural organizations!

Get outside and enjoy the winter wonderland in the “Ice Cream Sea” with a snow day sponsored by the AFC. Chili will be served in the AFC and the Chateau from 12:00-2:00 PM. Snow games led by the MMC will start at 1:00 PM on Battell Beach. Other activities include snow murals, horse drawn sleigh rides, and sledding!
