First-Year/Sophomore Health Professions Fall Info Meeting

Come meet with Mary Lothrop, Director of Health Professions & STEM. All students new to pre-med/health careers track should attend this information session. If you are thinking about pursuing a career in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary, Physician Assistant, or other health profession, come learn how a successful application takes more than just good grades in biology. They can help you answer the question, “What can I do with my liberal arts major or degree?” The SOAN Field Guide will feature an alumni panel, followed by an informal reception. You’ll have the chance to connect with alumni, faculty, and other students.

Field Guide: Languages, Cultures and Literatures Panel and Dinner

The “Field Guide for Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures Majors” brings back Foreign Languages alumni to help students think broadly about where their study in Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures might take them, and learn about the many career paths developed by alumni. The Field Guide is designed to answer the perennial question, “What can I do with my liberal arts major or degree?” The Field Guide features an alumni panel, followed by an informal reception, allowing students, alumni, and faculty to connect.

Four of the SOAN alumni panelists from Thursday evening’s “A Field Guide for SOAN Majors” will be available for informal one-on-one chats over coffee and donuts with students about their path from Middlebury to where they are today, how they have applied what they learned at Middlebury to help them build their careers, and how SOAN students might pursue a similar path. A great opportunity for unfinished conversations, for those who missed the Thursday evening panel, or just to network. Drop by anytime between 9:00 and 11:00 AM and bring your questions.
