The Master of Arts in Teaching Program The Brown Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Program is an intensive one year master’s and certification program that prepares tomorrow’s teacher leaders. The program prepares teachers in elementary education (grades 1-6) or secondary education (grades 7-12) English, history/social studies, or science (biology, chemistry, or engineering/physics). The Master of Arts in Teaching Program at Brown University prepares future educators to enter the classroom ready to create a community of high achievement for all students.

Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT)

Bloomberg Aptitude Test (BAT): The BAT helps students and recent graduates connect with financial employers worldwide. The test was developed in partnership with premier financial institutions and university faculties around the world. Students who take the BAT uncover their strengths across a range of finance, business, career and personal competencies and gain insight into their suitability for careers in business. After taking the test, students can enter their scores anonymously into the BAT Talent Search, a tool used by employers to identify candidates for entry-level roles in business.

Beyond Wall Street: Continuing the Conversation

Four of the Economics alumni panelists from Thursday evening’s “Beyond Wall Street: A Field Guide for Economics Majors” will be available for informal one-on-one chats over coffee and donuts with students about their path from Middlebury to where they are today, what work in their industry is like and how Economics students might pursue a similar path, or any other career advice they might have to offer. “Beyond Wall Street: A Field Guide for Economics Majors” brings back Economics alumni, representing a diverse array of careers, who share their paths and professional lives with students and demonstrate what possibilities exist for current Economics majors. Economics prepares students to succeed in a vast array of interesting and rewarding industries, and the Field Guide can help students think broadly about where their study in might take them.

Bear Island Design Assembly (BIDA) Information Session

Bear Island Design Assembly (BIDA) is a pro-bono student design-build program led jointly by McLeod Kredell Architects of Middlebury and Marvel Architects of New York. Participants may consider the program an intensive externship with the two firms. For the first week of September, the IDA team lives and works together on a small, rugged island in Maine, designing and building a project to benefit a local community.

Barclays IBD: Summer Analyst Program (Information Session)

The Barclays Summer Program is designed to provide summer analysts, with solid work commitment and high ethical standards, broad exposure to the Barclays businesses. This program consists of practical work assignment and various other learning opportunities throughout the summer, allowing analysts to develop an ability to handle long hours and demanding assignments, which are a constant reality in the field. Through a variety of activities, summer analysts will have the opportunity to network with line professionals and with their peers.

Bank Of America Merrill Lynch - Women in Finance Networking Event

Please join Middlebury alumni and current Bank of America Merrill Lynch employees on Monday, March 6th for a Women in Finance Networking Event.

The evening will offer students the opportunity to get to know women from Bank of America and to discuss women’s changing role within the industry, as well as gain to insight into the recruiting process. The event will feature a panel, offering a number of female perspectives from different areas within the bank, and give students the chance to ask questions both about recruiting and about the job itself.
