American Enterprise Institute Information Session

AEI is a private, nonpartisan, not-for-profit institution dedicated to research and education on issues of government, politics, economics and social welfare. AEI’s purpose is to serve leaders and the public through research and education on the most important issues of the day. AEI research is conducted through seven primary research divisions: Economics, Foreign and Defense Policy, Politics and Public Opinion, Education, Health, Energy and the Environment and Society and Culture.

Ambassador Richard LeBaron - Foreign Policy Career Discussion

Ambassador Richard LeBaron is a diplomat with over thirty years of experience abroad and in Washington. Bring your questions and hear about all his experiences. He is giving a talk Thursday afternoon about where foreign policy will go after the election this fall. The ambassador’s most recent overseas posting was as deputy chief of mission at the US embassy in London from August 2007 to August 2010. He served as ahargé d’affaires in London from February to August 2009. Previous to his assignment to London, he served as the US ambassador to Kuwait (2004 to 2007).

Doug Gledhill ‘14 will talk about his experience in Amazon.com’s Operations Finance Rotational Program (OFRP). OFPR is an intensive entry-level program spanning 3 assignments in different Amazon fulfillment centers (FCs) in preparation for large leadership roles in finance. The program combines coursework and challenging job assignments to equip you with exceptional technical, financial, and business skills.

The “Field Guide for Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures Majors” brings back Foreign Languages alumni to help students think broadly about where their study in Foreign Languages, Cultures and Literatures might take them, and learn about the many career paths developed by alumni. The Field Guide is designed to answer the perennial question, “What can I do with my liberal arts major or degree?” The Field Guide features an alumni panel, followed by an informal reception, allowing students, alumni, and faculty to connect.
