Erin Chouinard, Class of ‘24, will share CitizenShift, a civic technology project that anyone can use to stay politically engaged and make a difference year-round. CitizenShift is a civic tech nonprofit whose mission is to increase civic engagement by making legislation more accessible, actionable, and understandable.

Corene Kendrick, Deputy Director of the ACLU’s National Prison Project, and James Duff Lyall (Midd ’02), Executive Director of the ACLU of Vermont, will discuss their work using litigation, political and legislative advocacy, community organizing, public education and strategic communications to fight for the human rights of people caged in prisons, jails, juvenile detention, and immigration detention across the country and in Vermont.

Forrest for a conversation on her career at the U.S. Department of Justice, her service as a federal judge in New York, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in government and the legal system. The discussion will explore leadership, public service, and how AI is reshaping the future of law and public institutions.

AG Clark will discuss the roles and responsibilities of State Attorneys General, as well as answer questions about her current experience leveraging lawsuits on behalf of Vermonters.
