Summer Exhibition Celebrates the Vermont Landscape
On Thurs., May 21 the Middlebury College Museum of Art opens an exhibition of 78 works by Italian-born painter and portraitist Luigi Lucioni, including various articles of memorabilia from his life. The exhibit chronicles the artist’s affinity for the Vermont landscape and illustrates how he employed a mixture of media and subject matter to sustain an accomplished career that spanned sixty years and produced more than one thousand paintings.
