Students, Spring 2021, Fall 2020

Dear Students,

We are writing to provide updates about end of semester courses and required flu vaccinations.

End of Semester Course

The last online COVID-19 course for the fall semester has been made available to all enrolled undergraduate students on SafeColleges as of yesterday morning. The End of Semester Fall 2020 course should take no more than one hour to complete and must be finished by 5 p.m. on November 20.

We encourage you to take the course as soon as possible, as it focuses on important information about the end of semester and personal health and safety plans including: managing transitions, departing from campus or Vermont (for in-person learners), travel safety, remote finals, and resources for students in all locations.

The course also contains reminders about important health pledge behaviors, including the requirement that all in-person learners receive the flu vaccine (barring any medical or religious exemptions).

Require Flu Vaccine and Appointments

The final flu vaccine clinic for the semester will be held this Thursday, November 5, in Virtue Field House. Students who have not received vaccinations by November 20 will be referred to the Community Standards Office and may be ineligible to live and learn on campus this spring.

Appointments can be scheduled by visiting your student health portal. Please keep in mind that the vaccine takes two weeks to generate sufficient antibodies to protect against the flu, so students should receive the vaccine as soon as possible to provide protection in advance of travel home.

Be well,

Barbara McCall
