I am writing to provide an update about the latest COVID-19 testing results. As of this evening, we have identified one additional positive case, for a total of three active cases on campus.
This afternoon, Vermont Governor Phil Scott issued an executive order in response to a record number of COVID-19 cases in the state, placing further restrictions on social gatherings, recreational sports, and other group activities, effective at 10 p.m. Saturday, November 14.
We are writing today about the surge in COVID-19 cases in Vermont (mirroring the rise nationwide), and the important actions we must take during the final week of in-person instruction on the Vermont campus.
