Limiting the spread of the virus that causes COVID-19 is essential to protecting our community. We require all students, employees and visitors to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccines, with the exception of those with approved exemptions. In accordance with CDC guidance “up to date means that a person has received all recommended doses in their primary series COVID-19 vaccine, and a booster dose when eligible.” Our plan is to maintain as normal operations as possible with in-person classes, events, and activities. At the same time, we continue to monitor developments of the pandemic, including COVID-19 variants, and CDC and Vermont Department of Health guidance. There are essential health and safety measures that each member of the campus community has a responsibility to follow to protect themselves and others. Our individual behaviors impact our own health, and our entire community.

Staying Informed

Health conditions in the region, in Addison County, and on campus can change quickly. The state of Vermont or College requirements may change in response to the evolving conditions.

The Campus Status web page will provide the Middlebury community with the most up-to-date information about current requirements on campus. The community will also be kept informed through email announcements and updates. All students, staff, and faculty are responsible for consulting this website and the Campus Status web page regularly for updates.
