Shared Community Responsibility

The most important components of our efforts to maintain a healthy community are a shared commitment to complying with all health and safety expectations and respectfully holding one another accountable for doing so. Before coming to campus, all students, faculty, and staff must sign the appropriate Middlebury Health Pledge to affirm they are familiar and willing to comply with the state’s COVID-19 restrictions and Middlebury’s health and safety policies.

Maintaining a safe campus will require campuswide adherence to community expectations. Middlebury has adopted a COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy as a temporary administrative policy to immediately address any behaviors that create actual or potential COVID-19–related health and safety risks in the community. Failure to comply with this policy places our community at risk for spreading the virus, which could endanger community health and result in further disruption of educational activities.
