Our three Rohatyn Global Scholars Interns have been a member of previous RGS Cohorts. All interns are part of the Rohatyn Student Advisory Board (RSAB) and help with student events and activities on behalf of the Rohatyn Center.

Kayden is a sophomore who majors in International and Global Studies with a concentration in Global Environmental Change. As a member of the second RGS cohort, Kayden is interested in problems surrounding food systems around the world and the ways small-scale agroecological and permaculture practices can transform these food systems for the greater good. When he isn’t doing homework, you can find Kayden working on his pride and joy, RAISINS (Radical Asians Club), or talking about his adorable dog Brady. Despite his big burly looks, Kayden likes to inform people that he did in fact cry watching the Barbie Movie… three times. They are fluent in French and Spanish, and are learning Portuguese and Tagalog.

Chris (he/him) is a junior from Williamsburg, Virginia who double-majors in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry (MBBC) and Religion. A member of the RGS inaugural cohort (2021-2022) and returning RCGA intern, Chris is interested in global healthcare access, biomedical ethics, LGBTQ+ rights, and global poverty. On campus he co-directs the Rohatyn Student Advisory Board and the Middlebury SGA Academic Affairs Committee. He is also an organic chemistry tutor and a college application mentor. When he is not battling through copious readings, Chris enjoys kayaking, seashells hunting, playing amateur tennis, cross country skiing, and baking award-winning treats (yes, really!).

Madaket is a sophomore from Reading, Massachusetts. As a member of the second RGS cohort, Madaket is interested in nonproliferation and counter-terrorism. For majors, she is currently deciding between International and Global Studies with a concentration in African Studies and International Politics and Economics. She is learning French and hopes to study either in Cameroon or St. Andrews (Scotland). Madaket is on the varsity field hockey team, which has won the last five Division III NCAA titles, and is a Campus Ambassador for the Middlebury chapter of The Women’s Network. This past summer, she traveled to Argentina with her field hockey team and visited amazing sites such as Puente de la Mujer (the Woman’s Bridge). During what little free time she has, you will find Madaket singing Disney throwback songs with her suite mates.
