COVID-19 Updates: Fall Semester

Making Appointments with Writing Professionals

Please see our main tutoring page for COVID-19 updates.

To meet with Writing Center professionals, you'll want to plan ahead when possible and schedule an appointment using our online scheduler at

You are welcome to stop by the Center for Teaching, Learning and Research (CTLR) and we can help you set up an appointment, or you can use the link above. Please schedule appointments a few days in advance or up to two weeks ahead to ensure that you can get the help you need on a particular paper. We are happy to work with you at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming through revision. Do keep in mind that we are not a proofreading service, although we will provide assistance in learning grammar when needed.

Be aware there are a limited number of tutoring appointments available. Please be considerate of your fellow students and do not book more than one appointment per week, especially in the second half of the semester. Students who schedule and/or cancel an excessive number of appointments at the last minute may lose access privileges to the online scheduler.

If we have no openings in that fit your schedule, email the below professional tutors with your availability to see if they may be able to accommodate you.

Diane DeBella ( (Writing Support)

If we are unable to meet with you on a particular paper due to scheduling/time constraints, or if you seek additional appointments beyond what we can provide,we urge you to work with a Peer Writing Tutor. Find the most current hours and locations here
