Section: Morals and Motivations I

Location: McCardell Bicentennial Hall, 303

Date & Time: Friday, April 19, 2013 - 9:15am - 9:30am

Abstract:

This project provides a philosophical analysis of sociological explanations of why U.S. Criminal Justice System permits the death penalty. Special attention will be paid to how ethical and methodological issues intersect. Using both sociological and philosophical frameworks, I argue in favor of the death penalty.
