Reunion 2013 at a Glance
We are already working on the schedule for 2013! From class dinners, hikes, lectures and golf, there's something for everyone. There are events open to all and specialized activities are always organized for most classes. Take a peek at the tentative schedule for Reunion 2013!
Housing, Registration and Check-in
We encourage all returning alumni and their families to stay on campus so that you can relive your Middlebury experience, easily meet up with friends, and explore all that the College has to offer.
Each class will have its own headquarters and will be housed in the same dormitory whenever possible. Most dorms consist of shared baths and rooms with one or two single beds. Below are a few things to note about housing on campus.
We are limited in how responsive we can be to special housing request. Requests can only be accommodated if the registration is received prior to the deadline which is May 27 at 5:00 P.M.
We will wine and dine you with palette-pleasing favorites at every meal. Meals will be provided for the 25th and 50th reunion classes from Thursday evening through Sunday morning. Meals will be provided for all other classes beginning with Friday dinner through Sunday breakfast. The Saturday night all-class dinner and reception under the tents behind the Mahaney Center for the Arts is indeed the weekend highlight!
Keep in mind that Your name tag is your ticket to all meals and receptions (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). You will not be permitted to attend any reception or meal without your name tag. If you lose your name tag, please contact a student host or other staff member at your headquarters for assistance.
Facebook Class Year Groups
Reunion may only come once a year but you can keep that reunion energy and excitement alive throughout the year by joining your official Facebook class year group. To find your group, click here to go to Facebook, then search for "Middlebury College Class of," followed by your class year, in the search box on the top bar.
Reconnect with classmates, post and view photos and videos, discuss the "good ol' days," or even plan your next reunion—these are just some of the great options you have when you join.

Here are some links that you might find helpful in your search for transportation:
By Air: The Burlington International Airport has grown substantially and offers a variety of car rentals. If you prefer a car service from the airport you can contact Middlebury Transit (802.388.3838), which offers individual or group transport.
By Train: Amtrak trains may be accessed at four points near Middlebury: Port Henry and Ticonderoga, NY, and Rutland and Essex Junction, VT.
Please park only in designated faculty, staff, or visitor parking spaces. Handicap accessible spaces are also available. You will receive a parking pass for your car when you register at your class headquarters. During drop off times, you may briefly unload your suitcases at your headquarters but you cannot leave your car in any designated No Parking area. For instance, for those who are registering at Gifford, Hepburn, or Stewart, cars cannot be left along Hepburn Road. During registration, you will be directed to designated parking areas, and shuttles will be available to bring you back to your headquarters.
Suggested parking areas include: Kevin P. Mahaney ’84 Center for the Arts parking lot, the Peterson Family Athletics Complex parking lot, Old Chapel Road, behind McCardell Bicentennial Hall, behind Proctor Dining Hall (Hillcrest Road), Wright Theater parking lot, behind Allen Hall, behind Coffrin Hall, and along College Street (Route 125) and Route 30.
Middlebury's beautiful campus can be a bit challenging to navigate for folks who have difficulty getting around. We will have vans and golf carts available for those who need on-campus transportation assistance. Buses will be available on Saturday evening for transportation to and from the all-class dinner. We also have shuttles circulating the campus on Friday and Saturday. Shuttle routes will be listed in your headquarters. Bus transportation will be provided to and from dinner at the Kevin P. Mahaney ’84 Center for the Arts on Saturday evening. Shuttles will also be available during check in on Friday, June 7 and during check-out on Sunday, June 9.
On Saturday, children's activities including crafts, face painting, Quidditch, and a magician will be available from approximately 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm. More details can be found on our Children's Programming page.
Saturday evening childcare will be available and split into two age groups; infants to 4 years old and 5 years and older. College Street Children's Center and Mary Johnson Children's Center will be providing the care (respectively). Some flexibility is allowed by both providers to accommodate siblings who fall into different age groups.
6 Weeks - 4 Years
College Street Children's Center will provide care for children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age for a 5-hour period between 6-11 p.m. College Street Children's Center is a fully licensed and accredited childcare center conveniently located just minutes from the center of Middlebury's campus. Parents are required to provide their child's food and supplies, including diapers, blankets, bottles, snacks, and a change of clothes.
5 Years and Up
Mary Johnson Children's Center will provide care for ages 5 years and older for a 5 hour period between 6-11 p.m.This program will be offered on campus at the Peterson Family Athletics Complex adjacent to the Saturday dinner location.
The Admissions Office will hold an informational workshop about the college application process for children of alumni on Friday, June 7. For snapshot of what the program will likely be this year, please visit the College Counseling Workshop page.
What to Bring
*Sheets, towels and pillows are provided.
* The dress code for reunion weekend is comfortable and casual. We suggest that you bring an umbrella and pack appropriate clothing just in case we have wet weather. Also, the evenings can be chilly, so please bring an extra jacket or sweater.
*Don’t forget to bring your Gamaliel Painter’s cane so that you can Tap! Tap! Tap! during Convocation!
The College Bookstore is open throughout the weekend and is pleased to offer the following special discounts: 30% percent discount for the 50th through 75th Reunion Classes, 25% discount for the 25th through 45th Reunion Classes, and a 20% discount for the 5th through 20th Reunion Classes.
Each class will be greeted by current students who are assigned as your hosts for the weekend. They will stay in your dorm, dine with you, and help guide you throughout the weekend. They are also happy to answer any questions you have about the campus and what it's like to be a student at Middlebury today. Take a minute to introduce yourself!
Access card use is required throughout the weekend. For security reasons, the main entrances to all residence halls have been equipped with a card reader system. Simply place your card on the reader to unlock the entrance. All reunion guests are issued an access identification card when they register at their class headquarters that allows them access to dorms.
Telephone and Internet Access
There will be telephones in the common areas of all residence halls. You need only dial the last four digits of any 443 number. For local calls, dial “9” and the seven-digit number. For credit card calls, dial “9” and wait for the tone. Then dial the carrier’s 800 number. If you have questions about the phone system, dial “5700” (during business hours, M–F, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.) or “0” (nights and weekends) for the campus operator.
Wireless access is available throughout most of campus. If you need to use a computer, visit the main library or McCullough Student Center.
Printing & Copying
All guests to Middlebury College who wish to print or copy to our public machines must sign into our PaperCut Print Server. Click here for all the information you need to use this system.
