Alumni of Color Weekend 2017
Alumni flocked to campus Martin Luther King weekend for two days dedicated to celebrating diversity at Middlebury, reconnecting with fellow alumni, and having a great time! AOC weekend has become a beloved tradition over the last several years.

Alumni Profile: Bill Rich, MA English ’99
In the current issue of Middlebury Magazine: Bread Loaf School of English Alumnus Bill Rich has been working on a pilot project called “What’s the Story?” The project is flipping traditional high school courses on their head. Read more here.
2016 Alumni Achievement Award Winners
Last year, the Middlebury Alumni Association recognized Bill Burden ’86 and Carolyn Kroll Reidy ’71 with Alumni Achievement Awards.
|Bill has toured the world as a professional opera singer, delighting audiences for more than 20 years. He majored in Spanish literature—not music—at Middlebury, but was a member of the College Choir and the Dissipated Eight a cappella group. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in music from Indiana University, and made his debut with the San Francisco Opera in 1992. Read more about Bill’s achievements here.|
|Carolyn intended to become a college English professor, but her career took her into the publishing world, where she has risen to the top of her field. She is now President and CEO of Simon and Schuster, Inc. She is a noted innovator in the publishing field and has frequently appeared on lists of powerful and influential women in publications such as Entertainment Weekly and Vanity Fair.
