Steve does liaison work, bibliographic instruction, and collection development for the following departments: English & American Literatures, Philosophy, Sociology/Anthropology, Religion, and Film & Media Culture. Additional duties include curating the LIS Media Collection, serving as a member of the Curricular Technology Team, being the lead librarian on Research Help Training for LIS student workers, and co-leading the LIS Arts & Humanities Divisional Advisory Group with Film & Media Culture professor Louisa Stein. In the wider College community, Steve serves as an executive board member for the New England Young Writers' Conference, and as staff advisor to two student organizations: the Middlebury Christian Fellowship; and Xenia, one of the five student social houses. Professionally, Steve is a member of ALA and ACRL, and contributes media reviews to EMRO. Steve graduated from Middlebury in 2000 with a degree in English Literature. His graduate studies include an M.A. in English Literature (Penn State '03), and an M.S. in Library and Information Science (Syracuse '07).
