Social Networking

A social network service provides access to an online community of friends, business associates or people with whom you share a common interest. Examples of popular social networking websites include Flickr (share your photos), Facebook, Goodreads (review your favorite books), MySpace, LinkedIn (professional networking), and Twitter.

GIS

GIS stands for geographic information system, a combination of mapping software and tools that allow the user to capture, store, manage and display geographic information. A familiar application of a geographic information system is a GPS program (Global Positioning System) used for getting driving directions. Closely related to GIS is Geo-spatial.
