I forgot my Banner Web PIN, can I get it reset?
  • You can reset the PIN yourself using your security question.  From, supply your 8-digit ID number then click the Forgot PIN? button. If the security question is answered correctly you may specify a new 6-digit PIN.
  • If both the ID and PIN are unknown, please call the Technology Helpdesk during regular business hours (M-F, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time) at 802.443.2200 for assistance.
  • If the wrong PIN is entered too many times, your BannerWeb account is disabled (locked) to prevent further activity. The security question reset method cannot be used; you must call the Technology Helpdesk at 802.443.2200 during regular business hours (M-F, 8:15 am to 5:00 pm EDT) for assistance.
How do I reset my Middlebury network password (email, wireless, etc)?

To reset your network password, go to our account activation page. For security purposes, you will be asked for your 8-digit Middlebury ID number and BannerWeb PIN number. If you do not know either of these numbers, please call the Technology Helpdesk at 802-443-2200 between 8:15 am and 5 pm EDT (Mon-Fri) for assistance.

I think I have a virus, what should I do?

The first step is to try to remove the threat from your computer. All college-owned computers should have Sophos AntiVirus already installed for threat removal.

If running a scan with Sophos (or similar anti-virus software) and removing appropriate threats does not resolve the issue, contact us to take the next step.

This email is suspicious, what do I do?
Never respond to emails asking for personal information such as passwords. The college will never ask for this type of information in an email.

The college provides cloud storage space for all its users—faculty, staff, and students—for file storage.
