Getting to Campus

By Car

Located in west-central Vermont, Middlebury is a 2-1/2 hour drive from Montreal, about 4 hours from both Boston and Hartford, 5 hours from New York City, and 6-1/2 hours from Philadelphia.

The Bread Loaf campus is an 20-minute drive away from Middlebury in the Green Mountains. The address to use is 4229 Route 125, Ripton, Vermont 05766.

By Plane

If you choose to fly, Burlington International Airport is 50 minutes from campus and is served by American, Jet Blue, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United, and USAirways.

Rutland airport offers commuter service from Boston and is an hour drive from campus.

By Train

Amtrak offers service to Rutland and to White River Junction.

By Van or Car Service

Middlebury Transit provides convenient service to Middlebury from all airports and Amtrak stations. Its subsidiary, Vermont Chauffeured Transportation, will pick you up at any time or place and deliver you to your destination in the Middlebury region.

By Taxi

Shared taxis from the airport to campus are available. 

By Bus

Vermont Transit provides bus service from Montreal, Boston, Albany, and NYC to Burlington, Vermont. Shared taxis from the bus terminal to campus are available.
