New Residence Hall Project Update

The following message was sent to students on Monday, October 2023.

Dear Students,

As work on the new first-year residence hall continues, we write with a brief update on the anticipated construction timeline and what it may mean for students during the spring 2025 semester. 

At this time, we are preparing for two possible scenarios that allow for some flexibility in construction schedules. They are as follows:

• If the building is completed before spring break, 2025, students living in Stewart Hall at that time will move to the new residence hall to allow Stewart to undergo important renovations. We anticipate that Stewart residents would be asked to pack their belongings prior to the break, so that they could be moved during the break. These students would finish the spring 2025 semester in the new building. 
• If the new residence hall is not completed by spring break, currently scheduled for March 14, 2025, then no students will be impacted and we anticipate the building would open in the summer 2025.
