    Michal Strier, a Hebrew Professor from the Middlebury School of Hebrew, is offering an engaging and fun way to experience Israeli culture and live it! Each week is something new and different including making art and learning calligraphy, watching Israeli films and shows, listening to Israeli music, meeting interesting people from various sectors in Israel, and cooking and eating lots of Israeli foods. Join us to experience a unique melting pot culture that combines European, North African, Arab, and other influences.

  • Language Xchange

    This is a social event where students who want to practice speaking foreign languages in a social environment can come and do so. No foreign language is required to be present. Anyone is welcome.

    We will have this event at Fieldwork Brewery. The hosts of the event will grab a table and have signs posted for the event. We will also bring stickers to represent languages that each person speaks (these are optional). Snacks may be provided by the club, but all drinks must be purchased from the establishment.

    WE ARE EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE that beginning April 15, 2022 the museum will be open to all visitors, no reservations required. Hours for the spring are listed below. In accordance with current Middlebury College guidelines, masks are optional but encouraged.

    For those who are not able to visit us in person, we invite you to connect with art remotely by browsing our collections database, enjoying our virtual engagement page, reading our blog, and interacting with us @middartmuseum via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

  • Story Circles 2021-2022: Decision and Commitment

    Story Circles are sponsored by Middlebury’s Anti-Racist Task Force. Story Circles are facilitated by Christal Brown, Anti-Racist Task Force Director and Alexander Twilight Artist in Residence. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the story circles to listen and share. As Middlebury College builds an authentic community that functions on the principles of anti-racism, it is important to acknowledge our collective history as well as our personal stories. Stories are limited to 3 minutes and offered in generosity. No advanced preparation is necessary.

  • Mini Mural Masterpieces

    The iCAPP mural subcommittee would like to set up a table with butcher paper in Holland where students, staff, and faculty can draw and create a mind map to help inform the design for the mural project underway for the north facing wall of the McCone building. We would like to keep the station up through May 20th to give ample time for participation! Instructions on how to create the mind map and an example will be included on the table.
