Join us for MothUp’s monthly event in the gamut room for a night of true live storytelling! This month’s theme: What Goes Bump in the Night

Join us for a live storytelling event in the Gamut Room! Featuring 4 student storytellers and lots of fun. 

Inspired by the popular storytelling phenomenon The Moth, Cocoon is a special evening of true stories told live without notes. This year’s storytellers include Hafez Sami-Sadeghi ’28.5; faculty members James Fitzsimmons (Anthropology), Jerry Philogene (Black Studies), and Susan DeSimone (Biology); Director of Middlebury’s Abenaki School Jesse Bowman Bruchac, and three-time Moth GrandSLAM champion and educator Dr. Christine Gentry. They’ll all be telling stories on the theme “Before I Die,” in association with the public art installation in the lower lobby.

Come hear about your friend’s Thanksgiving horror stories! Featuring laughs, tears, hugs, and most importantly, good stories.

Middlebury MothUp is hosting an interest meeting for students who want to get involved in producing live stories on campus!

Every month, MothUp presents 4 storytellers who work with producers to craft stories that they present to a live audience. This month’s theme: Carpe Noctem (Seize the Night). Come to hear the fantastic Elissa (MothUp President, class of 22.5) tell a story at her last ever Moth!!
