  • Stargazing at Mittelman Observatory

    The Mittelman Observatory is hosting a stargazing event on the McCardell Bicentennial Hall roof deck in celebration of the upcoming solar eclipse. For safety reasons, attendance is limited and registration is required (see link below). Please register for only one 25-minute stargazing time slot. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Note that this event will only take place if the sky is expected to be mostly clear.
  • Queer Prom

    Queer Prom is happening as part of Pride Week and the Prism Center’s Grand opening. The theme is Dramatic Chromatic: Come dressed in whatever glam feels like to you and as your authentic self. Allies are welcome to attend as well, but this is intended to be a queer space, so please be respectful.

  • AIKIDO

    Classes led by Professor Jonathan Miller-Lane and Middlebury graduate Corey Selover. PE credit available. Aikido is a 20th century Japanese martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O’Sensei, (1883-1969). In these sessions, we will focus on the potential of Aikido techniques and principles to transform conflict from a binary confrontation among individuals to an interaction of powerful and dynamic energy. No prior experience is necessary. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that includes leg coverings (such as sweats) rather than shorts. All bodies are welcome.

    A Ukrainian Easter egg painting workshop for the students and faculty to learn the unique techniques of folk art using pysachok (a special toolkit), wax, and paints.
