Pre-Semester Dance Workshop

Pre-Semester Workshop is a three-day dance intensive open to all students culminating in a performance at Convocation.

September 6th - 8th
12:30 pm 5:30 pm on September 6th and 7th,
12:30 pm on the 8th end Time TBA – we are performing at Convocation for First Years on the evening of the 8th around 5 pm (to be confirmed)
You must attend all 3 days of pre-semester.
Pre-semester will be led by Professor Laurel Jenkins and Guest Artist Arisa
White.
Open to all Middlebury Students. No experience necessary. All bodies are welcome!

Middlebury College Carillon Series: George Matthew Jr., Carillonneur, Middlebury College and Norwich University

As part of the Carillon Series’ Fall Festival, George Matthew Jr. plays a beautiful concert from Middlebury Chapel’s bell tower, high above the College campus. This concert coincides with the start of the academic year and celebrates the return of undergraduate students to the Middlebury campus. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket! Free and open to the public.

Opening Reception: An Invitation to Awe

After several years in the works, the MCMA is excited to present “An Invitation to Awe,” curated by Professor of the History of Art and Architecture Katy Smith-Abbott in collaboration with her students and colleagues. In this exhibition, older paintings and prints are displayed in conversation with contemporary objects, scientific equipment, and interactive work that compels the viewer to think of how awe is experienced through senses other than sight and to expand their own understanding of where awe lives now.

Never been on a stage at Middlebury? Then this is for YOU! Get ready to showcase your talent in this fast-paced, ensemble production directed by our Artist in Residence faculty member, Ashley Nicole Baptiste. Come prepared with a 1-2 min monologue that represents you as an actor. You will be cast in scenes based on your audition.
Backed by a team of passionate student designers and crew, this production offers an exciting opportunity to dive into the vibrant world of the Theatre Department.
