  • Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Course

    Middlebury Outdoor Program’s spring semester Wilderness First Aid (WFA) offering! Join other like-minded outdoor folks for a 2-day wilderness medicine training with a guest instructor from SOLO schools, based in Conway, NH. This course will teach participants the basics of identifying, assessing, and treating common injuries that occur in outdoor spaces. This course is designed to help teach those looking to become outdoor student guides (MMC, FIRE, AFC Outdoors, etc), or for anyone generally interested in learning new medical skills. *CPR is included!

  • AIKIDO

    Classes led by Professor Jonathan Miller-Lane and Middlebury graduate Corey Selover. PE credit available. Aikido is a 20th century Japanese martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O’Sensei, (1883-1969). In these sessions, we will focus on the potential of Aikido techniques and principles to transform conflict from a binary confrontation among individuals to an interaction of powerful and dynamic energy. No prior experience is necessary. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that includes leg coverings (such as sweats) rather than shorts. All bodies are welcome.
