Vermont Symphony Orchestra: A Night at the Movies
An encore presentation from the 2022 Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival. A Night at the Movies features a live, 22-piece VSO chamber orchestra accompanying seven documentary and animation films with Vermont ties. The program weaves through a breadth of musical styles and film stories, from two animated shopping carts searching for love to the story of Hansel and Gretel. Community Friends Match Day #1
Matchday allows our mentors to meet their paired mentee and the mentee’s family for the first time in a comfortable space with facilitated activities. Through ice breakers, games, crafts, and a presentation, the matches can learn about each other and plan their upcoming meetings! By having family members attend, mentors can learn the families’ goals for what they hope to get out of our mentorship program. Our event is open to college students who have applied to be a mentor and community members who have applied for their kiddos to get matched!Kirk Center
