MSA is very excited to host the director of the Spiritual & Religious Life Office, Dean Mark Orten, for a joint-halaqah this Friday, 7 pm. As a tradition that is deeply immersed in a sacred vision of nature and self, Islamic thought finds itself enmeshed in contemporary debates surrounding religion, science and rationality. In this week’s halaqah on Religion and Science, Dean Mark Orten will be speaking to the MSA about the history and possibilities for broader conversation between these two domains.
