  • LAMUN Conference

    From April 11-14, 2024, a group of 14 students from Middlebury will be traveling to Los Angeles, California to participate in the Los Angeles Model United Nations (LAMUN) conference.

    LAMUN is one of the oldest and largest Model UN simulations on the West Coast. It is hosted annually by the United Nations Association of the United States of America at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The conference features rigorous debate and negotiation on pressing global issues, with students representing different countries and serving on committees.

    Join Midd Cycling for a bike race in Hadley, MA. Saturday will consist of an individual time trial and road race. Sunday will be a criterium race.

    Jayda will lead a 60-minute vinyasa style yoga class. Mats will be provided to those that need them.

  • Shape-Note Singing

    Described as spiritual, joyful, powerful, and raucous, Shape Note (or Sacred Harp) singing is a traditional American style of four-part, a capella, community singing popular in the United States before the Civil War. This style still thrives across the US and in the UK, with strongholds in the American South and New England. It is called Shape-Note because the notes of the scale are indicated by distinctive shapes and names.

    Model United Nations is a dynamic platform that simulates the workings of the United Nations, offering students a unique opportunity to engage in diplomatic discourse, negotiation, and problem-solving. MUN aims to enhance participants’ understanding of global issues, improve their public speaking and negotiation skills, and foster a spirit of collaboration and international cooperation

  • Q&A Beginner Drag Workshop

    Q&A is hosting Middlebury’s student-run drag workshop. Hosted by Alexandria Avenue and Nyxx, students will have the opportunity to learn basic makeup and performance skills to unleash their inner drag artist! After two workshop days and a rehearsal, the new drag artists are encouraged to make their drag debuts in front of their peers at Middlebury College’s annual Spring Drag Show!

    Presentation on traditional indigenous culture by Valeria Bedoya to create conscious about Latin American roots. The presentation will be followed by a workshop in which participants will learn how to knit traditional bracelets.
