Special Collections’ newest exhibit features 100 years of pop-up books from the fanciful to the functional, from science textbooks to fairy tales. The exhibit is installed in Davis Family Library on the Main Level.

Ghosts on the Water: Uncovering Murders in Early 20th Century Smuggling of Chinese Immigrants in Vermont & New Hampshire
Images of bucolic landscapes, covered bridges, neat farms, and tightly knit communities are central to popular conceptions of Vermont. These same impressions, however, have rendered much of the region’s historical violence invisible. Local historian Ethan Mitchell will present new research uncovering murders of Chinese immigrants on human smuggling routes through Vermont and upstate New York in the early 20th century.Axinn Center 229

Hebrew Language & Culture Club (HLC)
An engaging and fun way to learn a bit of Hebrew and experience and learn about Israeli culture.
Each week will provide something new and different according to students’ requests - including watching Israeli films and documentaries; Street Art in Israel; listening to Israeli Music; meeting interesting people from various sectors of Israel; and cooking and eating lots of Israeli foods.

According to a letter from the apostle Paul, Christ-followers in the Roman colonial town of Corinth in the midst of assembly were speaking in tongues which no one could understand. This talk is an experiment, bringing together recent analyses of speaking in tongues or glossolalia in South Korea (Nicholas Harkness) with a critique of the violence of language by Afro-Caribbean poet M.
