Sunday Night Environmental Group (SNEG) is a non-hierarchical student org committed to climate and social justice activism. In the past we have pushed the college to divest from fossil fuels, passed anti-fossil fuel infrastructure resolutions in town, trained students on methods of non-violent direct action, occupied the statehouse, organized climate strikes, and so much more. We strive to ground our work in anti-racism, indigenous sovereignty, and community power.

The “Ottoman-American” Diaspora: Women in Early Musical Recordings, ca. 1917–47

Ian Nagoski is an independent music researcher and reissue record producer in Baltimore, Maryland, who has specialized for over 20 years in early-twentieth-century recordings made by immigrants to the United States, with a particular focus on musicians from the Ottoman Empire and post-Ottoman locales. The latter have included Greek, Armenian, Arab, Jewish, and Turkish musicians.

Traitors: Russia’s Interrupted Opposition Reckoning with the 1990s
2024, Maria Pevchikh and Alexei Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation released Traitors, a provocative documentary series asking how Russia’s democratic opening of the 1990s ended in Vladimir Putin’s authoritarian regime. The film places much of the blame on the political and economic elites surrounding Boris Yeltsin, focusing on corruption, privatization and the rise of the oligarchs, the controversial 1996 presidential election, and ultimately the choice of Putin as Yeltsin’s successor.
