  • Industrial Economics (IEc) Info Session – All about work in environmental consulting

    Come learn from Andy Schwarz, Midd alum, who has more than 30 years of environmental policy consulting experience, working with clients in the U.S. and in Eastern Europe. Andy holds a B.A. in Biology from Middlebury; an M.S.T. in Environmental Education from Antioch University; an M.F.S. in Environmental Policy from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies; and an M.B.A. with a specialty in Finance from George Washington University.

    All students are welcome to learn about this industry. There is currently both a summer internship and job offered in Handshake.

  • Mini-Canvas Painting Night at Chromatic Social House

    Chromatic Social house is hosting a recruiting event for people who are interested in living in the house or being social members. We will be listening to fun music and painting using mini canvases and acrylic paint. This is a fun event that should interest people who are artistically inclined and want to be a part of the arts house on campus.

  • Dialogue in the Classroom: Reflections on Teaching with Engaged Listening

    This session brings together former Engaged Listening Project (ELP) faculty fellows and faculty and staff participants in the summer 2021 dialogic workshop. Three ELP fellows – Ata Anzali (Religion), Amy Briggs (Computer Science), and Will Nash (American Studies) – will offer reflections on employing dialogic principles and practices in the classroom. Participants are then invited to discuss the lessons learned and future questions for teaching that focuses on both listening and speaking. Moderated by former ELP director Sarah Stroup (PSCI and IGST).

  • Uplift Workout in Fritz Balcony

    Uplift workout in Fritz Balcony! The space is reserved for Uplift members only so we can get moving and spend time as a group without the usual crowds of the main fitness center. The workout will be 1 hour long and consist of a combination of cardio and strength work. We will be providing suggestions of exercises to do in the circuit and guidance on timing, but you are welcome to come and use the space in any way that feels comfortable to you.
