  • Leila Scanlon “Bad Food” - A Senior Exhibition of Pastels on Paper

    An art exhibition of my senior thesis work at the Center Gallery in McCullough. My artworks are figurative pastel drawings that mix humor with surrealism. These selected pieces result from my last semester at Middlebury. I will be available at the opening to discuss the work, explain my thought process and answer any questions at a reception on Feb. 3 at 4 pm. This event has been organized by the Program in Studio Art.

    Join us for this lunch and discussion about course response forms with former members of the COR and academic administrators. CRFs don’t need to be scary or something to avoid. How might we embrace course response forms as a constructive tool towards reflection about our teaching practices and greater pedagogical effectiveness? Following the discussion, attendees can get assistance from CTLR staff in rethinking their syllabi in advance of the spring semester posting deadline.

    Weekly SOH Arts & Culture Hangout

    An engaging and fun way to experience and learn about Israeli art and culture.
    Each week will provide something new and different according to students’ requests - including making art and learning calligraphy; Mystical topics of spells, amulets, and witchcraft in ancient Judaism and contemporary Israel; watching Israeli films and shows; graffiti in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem; listening to Israeli music; meeting interesting people from various sectors of Israel; and cooking and eating lots of Israeli foods.
