On October 21st, join three experts from the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California to find out how you can apply your skills and interests to address this complex challenge. Speakers Sarah Bidgood, Jessica Varnum, and Masako Toki will help you better understand the career landscape in this field while highlighting opportunities for on-the-job training at Middlebury.

He has reported on major events for the network from wars and revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa to historic wildfires and terrorist attacks in the U.S.

    Spirits, or “hard liquor”, is a 500 billion USD industry globally and a 20 billion USD industry in Thailand, comprising almost 4% of total GDP there. The premium spirits market is a global oligopoly dominated by 3 major brand owners: Diageo (Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, others), Pernod Ricard (Chivas, Absolut, others), and Bacardi (Bacardi rum, Dewars, Grey Goose, others) which together command 50% global market share.

  • Hostile Terrain 94 - Mass Writing Session

    Hostile Terrain 94 (HT94) is a participatory art project sponsored and organized by the Undocumented Migration Project (UMP), a non-profit research-art-education-media collective, directed by anthropologist Jason De León. The exhibition is composed of over 3,200 handwritten toe tags that represent migrants who have died trying to cross the Sonoran Desert of Arizona between the mid-1990s and 2019. These tags are geolocated on a wall map of the desert showing the exact locations where remains were found.

    Please join the Center for Careers and Internships and the Student Investment Committee for a conversation with Susie Scher ’86 P’24. This will be her second year in a row joining us and first time in person!

    Susie is chair of the Global Financing Group within the Investment Banking Division (IBD). She serves on the Partnership Committee, IBD Executive Committee, IBD Risk Council and Americas Inclusion and Diversity Committee. Susie is a senior advisor to the IBD Council for Advancement of Racial Equity and the global sponsor of the LGBTQ+ Network.
