  • The Future Is...: Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Ed

    Middlebury is a Host Institution for this three-day virtual conference offered by AASHE (Assoc. for Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Ed), October 12 – 14.

    FREE REGISTRATION is available for Midd students/faculty/staff and includes access to all sessions and events during the live conference plus eighty days of post-conference on-demand access (through Dec 31).

  • Vermont's S.148: An act relating to environmental justice in Vermont

    Please join us for a virtual panel discussion to raise awareness of and support for Vermont’s S.148: An act relating to environmental justice in Vermont. The bill seeks to establish an environmental justice policy for the State of Vermont and would require state agencies to incorporate environmental justice into their work. The bill will be discussed in this spring’s upcoming legislative session.

  • Faculty at Home Webinar Series with Christal Brown and Lida Winfield

    Same but Different is a dance-theater performance created and performed by Christal Brown and Lida Winfield. The scholar-artists explore their similarities and differences in a cultural commentary on race, age, and gender. In this webinar, the artists will share excerpts of the work and discuss how it is a reflection of their lived values, artistic practice, and communal existence.

    Join WomenSafe advocates in a workshop about how to continue building a safe Middlebury community where power based personal violence isn’t tolerated. As part of Dating and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this event will help build skills around supporting friends and knowing what to do when someone you know has been harmed or has caused harm.

    Ballet returns to the dance program this fall. Classical ballet technique in traditional ballet class structure. No point shoes, please. Each session is open to a maximum of 14 participants.     Join the student Zen Buddhist practice group every Tuesday evening for an hour of meditation and study. The group will be led by students and Joshin Byrnes, a local Zen priest and Affiliate Chaplain of the college. Come to learn about and practice Zen – no previous experience needed.

    This is a weekly Student Government General Assembly Meeting.
