    Theatre Department Auditions for Fall '24 Productions

    The Theatre Department invites ALL STUDENTS to audition for the FAll ‘24 faculty directed production of: King Lear by William Shakespeare. Adapted and directed by Michole Biancosino.
    Come to the MAC lobby at 5:45pm to sign up for a slot. We will hear people individually in the order they have signed up. All are requested to have a 45 - 60 second monologue, memorization and preparation are strongly preferred. Please choose a monologue that uses heightened language (for example, Shakespeare or other classical texts).

    New mom Nina has a healthy baby boy, a loving husband…and is struggling with terrifying nightmares and anxiety attacks. Her therapist, Bonnie, is trying to help her discover how she can be a better mother to her infant son. In the meantime, Bonnie’s estranged daughter, Mary, arrives home with some life changing news. When Nina and Mary become friends, Bonnie’s professional and personal life gets a lot more complicated.

    MCMT presents its spring production of Legally Blonde: The Musical! The classic story of Elle Woods, a California sorority girl who enrolls in Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend, is transformed into a fabulous show filled with singing, dancing, bending, and snapping. This production is directed, designed, and performed entirely by students, and we are fortunate enough to be continuing our spring musical tradition in the wonderful Town Hall Theater!

  • LAMUN Conference

    From April 11-14, 2024, a group of 14 students from Middlebury will be traveling to Los Angeles, California to participate in the Los Angeles Model United Nations (LAMUN) conference.

    LAMUN is one of the oldest and largest Model UN simulations on the West Coast. It is hosted annually by the United Nations Association of the United States of America at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The conference features rigorous debate and negotiation on pressing global issues, with students representing different countries and serving on committees.

  • AIKIDO

    Classes led by Professor Jonathan Miller-Lane and Middlebury graduate Corey Selover. PE credit available. Aikido is a 20th century Japanese martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O’Sensei, (1883-1969). In these sessions, we will focus on the potential of Aikido techniques and principles to transform conflict from a binary confrontation among individuals to an interaction of powerful and dynamic energy. No prior experience is necessary. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that includes leg coverings (such as sweats) rather than shorts. All bodies are welcome.
