Dia de los muertos Celebration '23 Procession

Join us in celebrating our ancestors and departed loved ones on Día de los Muertos.  Meet outside the Anderson Freeman Center (Carr Hall.)  Along the procession there will be music, performances, dance, and much more. Visit: go/ddlm23 for more information. Bring along a memento of your loved one, a photo, favorite food, an object to honor your dead on the Procession… open to all!

Women of Color Brunch

Come with us down the rabbit hole this Saturday for our Spring Semester Women of Color Brunch! This year our brunch theme is Alice in Wonderland. We’ll have fancy brunch food, fun games, and more. This event is organized by the Anderson Freeman Center (AFC) and is meant only for WOC students, staff, and faculty.

Come check out Rainbow Day at the AFC as part of Pride Week 2023! There will be cookie decorating, rainbow lemonade to drink, and picture-taking by a professional photographer! Bring all your friends to take pics and eat snacks together. Contact the AFC to signup for pictures!

Queer Student/Staff/Faculty Mixer

All queer-identifying students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the AFC on Thursday evening from 4:30PM-6PM for a mixer event! This is an opportunity for queer students, staff, and faculty to all be in the same room together and discuss their experiences as queer individuals in and out of Middlebury. Snacks will be provided!

Grab a group of friends or colleagues and come flex your Black history muscles! We will have several rounds of questions with categories such as Music, Movies, People, Sayings, History, YKTV. Sunday Service

We will be hosting a Sunday morning service “From Harlem To Heaven!” led by Midd community leader Francois Clemmons. We will come together in celebration and reverence of how far we have come as a Black community in America and to celebrate the triumphs of those who came before us. While this service will have some Christian pieces involved, this is mainly a cultural celebration and is open to Black, other POC, and allies of the Black community.

This event is open to all students, faculty, staff, and Middlebury community members.
