This Pre-Health Info Session with Hannah Benz and Mary Lothrop is designed to help prospective candidates determine when/how to be most competitive in the medical school application process.

This session will emphasize AAMC competencies, how to articulate your ‘why,’ and strategies for identifying strong individual letters of recommendation.

All students considering a career in the health professions are encouraged to attend the Pre-Health Info Session with Hannah Benz and Mary Lothrop.

If you are thinking about a career in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Sciences, Nursing, PA, PT or another health profession, come learn how a successful application is much more than good grades. There will be ample time allotted for Q & A.

Make the most of your summer research experience by learning to leverage your skills and update your resume. This session will be held twice. Join Tim Mosehauer (CCI) in Hillcrest at noon (lunch provided!)—especially suitable for non-STEM students. Mary Lothrop (CTLR) will offer a Zoom session at 7 pm, with more of a STEM focus. This event features members of the EAC and some recent pedagogical pioneers in a discussion about pedagogical experimentation and its relationship to the curriculum that we have as well as the curriculum that we might want in the future. Join the faculty and students from the Data Science Across the Disciplines course to hear about their experiences and findings, and to discuss broader implications for providing all students equitable and inspiring access to data and digital tools.

This workshop and discussion will offer faculty a chance to hear from students who are trained in writing pedagogy and the scholarship of teaching and learning about their thoughts on ChatGPT and other AI technologies. Faculty will have an opportunity to talk about the project of learning (and teaching) at Middlebury College and the impacts of AI. This is a chance to bring students and faculty together for an exciting dialogue on the ramifications of AI and to brainstorm ways to respond to it in the classroom. Lunch will be provided.
