The Intelligence Community’s Senior Language Authority, a graduate of the Middlebury College Spanish School and an experienced IC language analyst, will provide an overview of how foreign language is used in the IC and offer advice on how to find a job in the Community using foreign language skills.

Panel on Activism and Undocumented Migration featuring Jason De León. Panelists include Hannah Krutiansky ‘19 (RAICES), Alondra Carmona (JUNTOS), and Jason De Leon (Colibrí Center for Human Rights). The panelists will discuss how their organizations work toward assisting migrants and their families, and how their organizations advocate for change.

The Open Door Clinic, based in Middlebury, provides access to quality healthcare services, free of charge, to uninsured and under-insured adults in Addison County. This fall, we are looking for people who can either speak Spanish or who are certified EMTs (whether fluent in Spanish or not). The training will provide information about the clinic, the population it serves and techniques on how to be a medical interpreter, facilitating communication between Spanish-speaking patients and English-speaking medical providers.
