Faculty Mentor Lunch

For the new and not so new! The CTLR welcomes faculty of all ages and experiences to come enjoy lunch together and to engage with new faculty colleagues in a discussion about evaluating teaching. Teaching is one of a few key elements of faculty work, and in this lunchtime conversation, we’ll shine a light on what folks have gained through feedback from course response forms, in-class visits, mid-semester check-ins, etc, while also making space for how those evaluations can be tricky to navigate and learn from.

Explorations and Expectations: CTLR’s Launch Lunch for 2023-24

For our first staff/faculty development event of the new academic year, the CTLR is hosting a lunchtime conversation that builds upon the intriguing discussions developing from the Teaching & Writing Retreat held in late August. Folks who attended the retreat wished that we had had more time to dig deeper into questions related to our assumptions about what to expect from our students. This catered lunch gathering is an opportunity to do just that. All are welcome, so if you could not attend the retreat and are curious about what you missed, know that this conversation is for you too.

Faculty Mentor Lunch

For the new and not so new!

We welcome folks of all ages and experiences to come enjoy lunch together and to share with new faculty colleagues what there is to know about Life in Vermont. Collegial conversations will continue month-to-month on topics of interest to all faculty as employees of the College, and we will choose those topics of interest based upon the conversations that develop at this inaugural lunch.
