Join Queers and Allies as we celebrate poetry with guest speaker and poet, Kavi Ade.
Kavindu “Kavi” Ade is an Activist, Arts Educator, and nationally recognized Poet of Afro & Indigenous Caribbean descent. Their poetry is a lamentation, a leaning in to what haunts the spirit of a Black Trans Queer body. With poems that are deeply personal while inescapably political. Ade’s work grapples with being set at the throne of violence — chronicling despair, grasping at hope, and ultimately exploring the ways a body can learn to survive.

Have you ever thought about singing your favorite anime theme songs with your friends? How about jamming to some nice melo Japanese tunes while enjoying delicious sushi? The Japanese Club is hosting a Japanese Karaoke Night at Crossroads Café. Everyone is welcome. No Japanese language skills required to join the fun as there will be songs in Japanese as well as in English.

Singers of all levels are welcome to participate in our fun karaoke night! Kick off the upcoming weekend with your favorite melodies.
