As part of the Envisioning Middlebury lecture series, Gardner Campbell, Associate Professor of English and Special Assistant to the Provost at Virginia Commonwealth University, will discuss how the paradigm of “romantic computing”—the experience of wonders, uncanny encounters, strangeness, and adventure through technology—can inspire higher education. (Gardner will be live in Monterey, and will speak via videoconference to a combined Middlebury Institute/Middlebury College audience.)
