The German School presents a concert of organ works by J.S. Bach, performed by Aleeza Meir from the German for Singers Program, to commemorate 275 years since Johann Sebastian Bach’s passing.

German Opera- Marriage of Figaro

Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro”, a comic opera in four acts that tells the story of how the servants Figaro and Susanna succeed in getting married, foiling the efforts of their philandering employer Count Almaviva to seduce Susanna and teaching him a lesson in fidelity.

 Please note: There are a limited number of $15 tickets for the general public and college ID holders not associated with the German School.  A pre-performance talk (in English) will be held at 7:45.  Performance starts at 8:30.

DML Dissertation Defense: Julia Kobrina-Coolidge

Julia Kobrina-Coolidge, candidate for the degree of Doctor of Modern Languages (DML) in Russian and German, will defend her dissertation on the work of Vladimir Nabokov titled, “Berlin Space: The City in the Prose of Vladimir Nabokov.”

The defense is open to the public, as well as current MA and DML students, and will be conducted in Russian and German.
