My name is Mary Anne and I use she/her pronouns. I moved to Vermont in 2005, lured away from New York City by the beauty of Vermont and the lifestyle it affords its residents. While I did move to Oregon for a little while, I soon returned, having quickly realized that Vermont is the place I call home.
Over the years, I have worked in a variety of settings and roles focusing on health, mental health, substance use and equal access to care. I have a Master’s in Social Work from CUNY’s Hunter College and a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont. Eventually my journey brought me to Middlebury College. I’ve been here since Fall 2023.
Things that bring me happiness include spending time with my family and friends, traveling to new locations, reading a good book, or struggling with a puzzle. You can often find me listening to a podcast or an audiobook while I walk my dog, tend to my garden, or cook something delicious.
