In addition to being a senior member of the Information Technology Services leadership team, Aaron Smith is also the ITS lead for our exploration of emerging technologies (like AI) with the Middlebury community and an important strategic partner for functional areas who desire to evolve their current technology services.
Aaron brings decades of technology and communications expertise, working with companies like Staples, Reebok, and RueLaLa. He experienced the dot-com bubble, its grisly burst, and has all the evidence hidden away. If you are really nice to him, he’ll tell you about the time he ran an online dating business for over 400 newspapers.
An award-winning systems thinker, Aaron believes in holistic examination of problems and true collaboration with his partners. His greatest accomplishment is getting his oldest child to eat spinach. The youngest still refuses.
