ITS works with our stakeholders to bring community input and guidance to the technology decision-making process.

Strategic Partner Engagement (SPE)

SPE ensures there is an ongoing, structured dialogue between ITS and its internal and external partners so priorities are clear, decisions are shared, and work stays aligned with institutional needs and expectations. SPE is led by the Office of the CIO.

Information Security Advisory Committee (ISAC)

ISAC ensures that Middlebury’s Information Security Program is aligned to the needs of the Middlebury community, focused on salient education and awareness opportunities, and driven to achieve reasonable, efficient, effective, and holistic management of risks related to Middlebury’s information resources. ISAC consists of the ITS Director of Information Security, VP for IT, VP for HR, VP for Risk, VP for Finance & Administration, Provost, Legal Counsel, and the VP for Student Affairs.

Technology Advisory Committee (TAC)

TAC provides a sustainable structure for faculty governance of our scholarly computing resources, to ensure that our technology infrastructure and support can be both reliable and responsive to emerging research and teaching needs. TAC is a forum for faculty to provide feedback and guidance to ITS and the Office of Digital Learning and Inquiry (DLINQ).

Green Mountain Higher Education Consortium (GMHEC)

GMHEC is a partnership between Champlain College, Middlebury College, and Saint Michael’s College to collaborate on common administrative services. As part of this collaboration, Middlebury ITS provides technology support, from software implementation to security policies.
